Southern Charm Meets Social Media: Felicia Watts

Social Media Makeover Forum - at the Metro ChamberLast week, I drove south of Atlanta to McDonough, GA to visit Hazlehurst House owner Felicia Watts and discuss social media and running a small business.

Below is a preview of some of the issues we will explore in a special edition of the SMB Social Media Makeover Forum that I’m organizing for the Metro Atlanta Chamber. It takes places this Thursday afternoon. Click here to register.

The Hazlehurst House is a venue for  weddings, parties and other social and corporate events. In this interview, Felicia shared some thoughts about social media’s impact  on her small business and what she hopes to get from a makeover.

Felicia is doing the right things. She has a blog, a Facebook page, a Twitter account and even uses Pinterest. Her challenge is using social media to reach and engage the modern day bride and capture the charm of this historic building.

I look forward to engaging a panel of experts that includes:

Michael Erickson – Director of Marketing, Fifth Restaurant Group ; Jim Brams – Public Relations, Cook’s Warehouse; and Julie Bryant Fisher – Senior Manager Communications, Metro Atlanta Chamber.
